i was named after her

the ONE and ONLY picture i could find of cassie seifert, who was an anchor on nightly business report in the early 1990s. my mother named me after her. WHY? almost just because. because my grandparents watched the show. because ms. seifert was intelligent. pretty. sophisticated. (the namesake not so much)

my brother played one of my jhs graduation songs and now i'm all sad. again.

My name is one my mum picked- my Dad hated it and kept saying no until mum was 8 1/2 months pregnant and suddenly he agreed. They didn't have a boys name picked for me so if I'd have been a boy they would have been pretty screwed! (Back in the times when scans didn't tell gender, ahoy, I'm old). It gets shortened by people to Row which makes me want to smack things, I fucking despise it. (Think you've seen my actual name on my journal?)

As for LJ name, I was an FF7 nut and used Nanaki Lioness originally. Then I dropped the Lioness and a friend around the same time began calling me Naki. It stuck, and here we are many years later :)

I was named after candice bergan who is some big 90s actress. She was in because I said so as the scary mom figure. I am alright I think.
Copy and pasted just sounds cool, and the comic is a faker. I did not actually think of it cus of that.
